"Hoppy" Easter

I love Easter. It seems like everything is finally coming back to life! This year it's been so much fun to have my baby chicks around. Colby still is confused as to why we have them, but I love them and think they are hilarious! They are the perfect little spring animal.. bird... um whatever they are :) haha.

Baking is one of my favorite things to do and I try to find fun new recipes or a new way of doing something I already make. I was shopping with my mom a while back and found the cutest cupcake toppers! These cupcakes were so simple to make and would be a fun Easter project for kids.

Looking at these cupcakes you probably don't need an explanation but I have provided one below the pictures just in case :)

1     Yellow Cake Mix
5     Cups Vanilla Icing
1      Bottle of Green Sugar or Sprinkles
24    White Cupcake Liners
24    Colored or Patterned Cupcake Liners
24    Bunny Cut-Outs
24    Pom-Poms

Step One: Create 24 bunny cutouts on white paper. I have linked a good pattern here.
Step Two: Glue a pom-pom bunny tail on the back of each cutout bunny.
Step Three: Make cupcakes according to package and bake in white cupcake liners. Let the cupcakes cool for a couple of hours.
Step Four: Using a large star tip piping nozzle swirl around the top of each cupcake
Step Five: Sprinkle Green Sprinkles on each cupcake
Step Six: Place bunny cutouts in the center of each cupcake
Step Seven: Place each completed cupcake in your decorative cupcake liners

I hope you have as much fun making these cute Easter cupcakes as I did!
