Coronado with Colb

After five days of work in San Diego I was more than ready to see Colb. I woke up and got all dressed up before he came. Because I had the morning off I was able to spend a little extra time on my make up which was super nice! I got a new pallet from Clinique for Christmas that I was so excited to try it out. Typically I used the Naked 2 pallet and have LOVED it. I don't usually try too many other shadows, but I am so glad I did.
Make up pallet's are hard just because I never know what colors I want to use! Sometimes I spend so much time thinking about it I just go revert back to my everyday colors. I finally decided to go with the neutral colors on the left hand side.

I started by highlighting under my brows and inside of my eyes with the lightest champagne color. I then used the shimmery taupe on the bottom right to cover my lid and blend into the areas I had highlighted. After completing the base for my eye shadow I used the chocolate brown color on the bottom starting from the corner of my eye and working in to create a more dramatic look. Lastly, I added in the darkest smoky color and smudged it in the crease of my eye. This look was perfect for a date night with Colby! It was neutral, but dramatic and dressy. I finished my look with matte lip and bronze cheeks.

Colby and I ended up spending the night walking past the bed and breakfast we stayed in for our honeymoon and talking about all the fun memories we made! I'm SO excited we have a few days to spend together until he has to get back to school.

San Diego weather is always just a little bit cold for me. I'm always freezing and so I ended up bringing a coat. This J Crew coat has been perfect this winter! It is easy to dress up or down and not too hot or cold! They still have some in stock and they are under under $100 now. I'm thinking I want the pink one.. but we will see if I end up getting it now that spring is just around the corner.
